The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Markus Grødems short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Ivar Tøllefsen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 6 minutes into the game, Markus Grødem lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Ivar Tøllefsen. Trym Rørvik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Hennum in the 12th minute of play. Sebastian Hennum might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Trym Rørvik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Hennum ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredrik Skogmo in the 22nd minute of play forced Blaker Fc's goalkeeper Trym Rørvik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Fredrik Skogmo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skjervik's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fredrik Skogmo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute Sebastian Hennum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trym Rørvik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Markus Grødem could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Ivar Tøllefsen made a huge save. A collision led to Blaker Fc getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Audun Orre hit a great ball. Krister Slette made a great header on Skjervik's corner, it was just that Blaker Fc's Trym Rørvik managed to reach the ball for a save. Fredrik Skogmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trym Rørvik having to interfere. If Sebastian Hennum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Sebastian Hennum ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Trym Rørvik was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fredrik Skogmo was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Skjervik booed when Blaker Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eivind Lien didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1-2 became the score in the 55th minute when Sebastian Hennum elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Sebastian Hennum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivar Tøllefsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Jama, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over Skjervik could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Blaker Fc throughout the match.
