In the 2nd minute, Torstein Mellingen had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Hans-Erik Hoseth kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Brann-jr's zone, Johannes Paus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torjus Ingebretsen came out of the goal and Johannes Paus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Storbukt IF booed when Brann-jr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornelius Lindland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vebjørn Knapstad could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Torjus Ingebretsen made a huge save. Tor-Egil Glesnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars-Olav Nordlien having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Storbukt IF's goal looked a bit too open when Tor-Egil Glesnes came free, but Lars-Olav Nordlien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torjus Ingebretsen made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Christoffer Serigstad sent off a good shot on target. When Christoffer Serigstad came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Storbukt IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christoffer Serigstad couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute, Johannes Paus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Storbukt IF's goalkeeper Lars-Olav Nordlien, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jon Ytterstad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christoffer Serigstad to strike the kick off in the second half. After 58 played minutes Storbukt IF got a freekick which was hit by Johannes Paus. Brann-jr were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Storbukt IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cornelius Lindland took the corner. The corner led Brann-jr's Cornelius Lindland to fire away a dangerous shot which Lars-Olav Nordlien despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 68th minute, Christoffer Serigstad left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Storbukt IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Lars-Olav Nordlien made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tor-Egil Glesnes in the 73rd minute. Christoffer Serigstad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torjus Ingebretsen having to interfere. After 90 played minutes Storbukt IF got a freekick which was hit by Vebjørn Knapstad.
