Svend Solsvik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Tim Kjørstad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tim Kjørstad stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Svend Solsvik's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruben Solvoll during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ruben Solvoll hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Konrad Øvsthus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Nordnes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Landås IF's Konrad Øvsthus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Landås IF from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes into the match, Landås IF's goalkeeper Konrad Øvsthus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Torbjørn Valland. Torbjørn Valland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Nordnes in the 28th minute of play forced Landås IF's goalkeeper Konrad Øvsthus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Landås IF getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Svend Solsvik hit a great ball. When Stefan Nordnes came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Rinøy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefan Nordnes couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Svend Solsvik's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tim Kjørstad was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. 37 minutes into the match, Trym Bryne notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Rinøy's Tim Kjørstad. Tim Kjørstad was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stefan Nordnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Konrad Øvsthus having to interfere. After having played for 44 minutes, Torbjørn Valland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rinøy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Torbjørn Valland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

1-1 became the score in the 59th minute when Stefan Nordnes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 63 minutes into the game, Landås IF's Ludvik Sletner nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tim Kjørstad made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. With his leg Tim Kjørstad managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Landås IF's Svend Solsvik fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Herman Gausdal kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Trym Bryne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Landås IF booed when Rinøy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ådne Saue didn't get a good kick on the ball. Landås IF's Marius Strand shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 69th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Tim Kjørstad but with some difficulty. Konrad Øvsthus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torbjørn Valland in the 73rd minute of play. Landås IF's Svend Solsvik got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Svend Solsvik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Kjørstad having to interfere. The Landås IF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
