Tallaassæteren's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonathan Omland was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Tallaassæteren's goal looked a bit too open when Storm Furu came free, but Rikard Sollid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Kirkenær BF getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Jan-Kenneth Nerhus hit a great ball. Håvard Skramstad made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Gyuro Ruski sent off a good shot on target. Rikard Sollid showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tor-Kristian Høyland, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Rikard Sollid made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonathan Omland in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rikard Sollid saved Tallaassæteren from getting behind. The supporters of Kirkenær BF booed when Tallaassæteren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Arne Eldevik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Omland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 47th minute Jo Reitan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rikard Sollid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rikard Sollid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Storm Furu in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Kirkenær BF were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonathan Omland was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Storm Furu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rikard Sollid was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. In the 63rd minute, Storm Furu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rikard Sollid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Storm Furu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Kirkenær BF's Jo Reitan in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Jonathan Omland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kirkenær BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Omland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rikard Sollid breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jo Reitan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Rikard Sollid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Omland got free with Rikard Sollid in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jostein Bogen hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Jonathan Omland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Rikard Sollid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, Gyuro Ruski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tallaassæteren's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kirkenær BF the free kick. Rikard Sollid made an important save on a dangerous shot by Storm Furu in the 96th minute.
