A very good chance. Tjeerd Mülder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mark Boezem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tjeerd Mülder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Fabian Tuyp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nijeholtpade's Fabian Tuyp got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Heenvliet's goalkeeper Cees Steffens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlo van der Werff took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cees Steffens. Cees Steffens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Heenvliet fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 48th minute. Penalty! In the 50th minute there was a penalty for Nijeholtpade. Jelmer Achterberg stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cees Steffens. 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Cees Steffens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabian Tuyp in the 58th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Nijeholtpade's Gert Caluwé sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cees Steffens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cees Steffens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlo van der Werff, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. When Fabian Tuyp came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Nijeholtpade fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Tuyp couldn't finish the play. Carlo van der Werff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 101 minutes into the match, Nijeholtpade's goal looked a bit too open when Antoon Schirring came free, but Mark Boezem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
