Jan-Willem van Zaanen started the match with the kick off. Roi Bermudez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jan-Willem van Zaanen in the 5th minute. In the 9th minute Menno Jongsma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommie Theissen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roland van Someren hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. A hard shot 18 in the game by Jan-Willem van Zaanen from a close distance when the talented Roi Bermudez managed to make a qualified save. Vrijhoeven VV's players were relieved. The supporters of Idserdaburen HC booed when Vrijhoeven VV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Menno Jongsma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ryan Valentijn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Tommie Theissen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roi Bermudez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jan-Willem van Zaanen in the 31st minute. Roi Bermudez didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Idserdaburen HC's Jan-Willem van Zaanen shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Vrijhoeven VV's Roi Bermudez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Willem van Zaanen in the 41st minute of play. Ivo de Boer kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Vrijhoeven VV's Ryan Valentijn pulled a muscle in his leg after 44 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Menno Jongsma to strike the kick off in the second half. Idserdaburen HC's Tommie Theissen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Idserdaburen HC from getting a goal against them. When Roderick van Dalfsen fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Idserdaburen HC's protests and gave Roderick van Dalfsen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, Roderick van Dalfsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st match minute, Idserdaburen HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Hellemons to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Tommie Theissen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 65th minute, Gerrie Rogaars hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roi Bermudez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roderick van Dalfsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After 74 played minutes Idserdaburen HC got a freekick which was hit by Hans Hellemons. The throw-in from Godfried van Asten in the 76th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Vrijhoeven VV's Roland van Someren. After 82 minutes of play Idserdaburen HC's Roderick van Dalfsen was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 88th minute of the match, Menno Jongsma got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tommie Theissen was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Idserdaburen HC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vrijhoeven VV had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
