If Fortunato Costantino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fabiano Cicchetti came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the U.C. CASALNUOVO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano Cicchetti couldn't finish the play. Alexander Piccini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrea Mucci having to interfere. Fortunato Costantino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emiliano Tamburrini during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to U.C. CASALNUOVO getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Emiliano Tamburrini hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the game, one of U.C. CASALNUOVO:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 33 minutes of play, Pozzo FC's Ettore Giusti made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andrea Mucci was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 38th minute Armando Piretti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrea Mucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Armando Piretti notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of U.C. CASALNUOVO's Andrea Mucci. Andrea Mucci was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Andrea Mucci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dave Martano, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Pozzo FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dave Martano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of U.C. CASALNUOVO booed when Pozzo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Piccini didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 55 minutes, Dave Martano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pozzo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dave Martano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andrea Mucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Martano in the 61st minute of play. After a rather tough play, U.C. CASALNUOVO's Emiliano Tamburrini got a free kick in the 61st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Dave Martano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pozzo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dave Martano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrea Mucci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andrea Mucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Martano in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Fortunato Costantino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Pozzo FC's Dave Martano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Andrea Mucci. That made the score 0-4 after 75 minutes of play. 79 minutes into the match, Dave Martano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Andrea Mucci, 0-5. In the 82nd minute, Pozzo FC's Armando Piretti ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Andrea Mucci. Andrea Mucci yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Fortunato Costantino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrea Mucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Martano in the 91st minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pozzo FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
