Aguilas Champagne's Jean-Marie Hollard got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ferdinand Delsaux made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Rachid Bricard sent off a good shot on target. Ibrahim Ravier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferdinand Delsaux read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Victor Guittonneau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 40 minutes, Jean-Marie Hollard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aguilas Champagne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean-Marie Hollard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandre Abid stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Ergal's Pierre-Antoine Fourny got a free kick in the 75th minute. Jean-Marie Hollard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Delsaux having to interfere. If Jean-Marie Hollard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean-Marie Hollard scored 3-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ferdinand Delsaux, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
