The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horea Duca helped the player get up and apologised. V.I.P's Calistrat Ghiciușca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavian Vaştag in the 7th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in V.I.P's zone, Nechifor Bunescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calistrat Ghiciușca came out of the goal and Nechifor Bunescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 14 minutes into the match, V.I.P's goal looked a bit too open when Octavian Vaştag came free, but Calistrat Ghiciușca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Florin Stoica put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Șerban Drogoreanu. Șerban Drogoreanu was a little too slow when Florin Stoica got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 2-0. Octavian Vaştag blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Calistrat Ghiciușca having to make a save. Nechifor Bunescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Calistrat Ghiciușca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Calistrat Ghiciușca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nechifor Bunescu in the 31st minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, V.I.P's goal looked a bit too open when Nechifor Bunescu came free, but Calistrat Ghiciușca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Haimanalele's Nechifor Bunescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Calistrat Ghiciușca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Haimanalele booed when V.I.P was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihnea Purcărete didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nechifor Bunescu struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Calistrat Ghiciușca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haimanalele. If Octavian Vaştag had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 48 played minutes Haimanalele got a freekick which was hit by Eugen Povară. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Florin Stoica to strike the kick off in the second half. Șerban Drogoreanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florin Stoica, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Șerban Drogoreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ştefan Oncescu in the 67th minute of play. Șerban Drogoreanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florin Stoica's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Haimanalele's attentive Dacian Stelea managed to snatch the ball when Ionică Ghișerel made a throw-in in the 76th minute of the game. After 77 minutes, Horia Voiculescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Haimanalele and the V.I.P players grew even worse after the yellow card. Horia Voiculescu hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Șerban Drogoreanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florin Stoica's shot from short distance in the 94th minute.
