David Cozmâncă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Mihail Ipătescu made a huge save. Martin Cumpanașu hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. David Cozmâncă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Mihail Ipătescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bogdan Negruț stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sever Coporan's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Sever Coporan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bogdan Negruț was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Cumpanașu in the 18th minute of play forced Movileni's goalkeeper Mihail Ipătescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Cumpanașu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mihail Ipătescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. When Sever Coporan came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Movileni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sever Coporan couldn't finish the play. In the 43rd minute Martin Cumpanașu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihail Ipătescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moise Vârlan hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Sever Coporan took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Bogdan Negruț to make any attempt to save it. 58 minutes into the game, Maxim Mîțu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Steaua FC Iasi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Movileni the free kick. Mihail Ipătescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Cumpanașu in the 60th minute of the match. David Cozmâncă blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mihail Ipătescu having to make a save. Bogdan Negruț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebiu Mineață, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sever Coporan in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bogdan Negruț, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. David Cozmâncă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihail Ipătescu having to interfere. The supporters of Steaua FC Iasi booed when Movileni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florin Niculescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Eusebiu Mineață dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bogdan Negruț, 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Movileni's zone, David Cozmâncă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihail Ipătescu came out of the goal and David Cozmâncă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Florin Niculescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Movileni's supporters rose to their feet, but Florin Niculescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bogdan Negruț breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eusebiu Mineață hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Martin Cumpanașu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the match, Steaua FC Iasi's goalkeeper Bogdan Negruț had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sever Coporan. In the 96th minute, Sever Coporan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bogdan Negruț was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Movileni's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
