When Vladko Dragoychev fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Khambarlii's protests and gave Vladko Dragoychev a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 played minutes Khambarlii got a freekick which was hit by Vladko Dragoychev. A hard shot 41 in the game by Beloslav Terziyski from a close distance when the talented Ignat Mudev managed to make a qualified save. Khambarlii's players were relieved. After some careless play in the Khambarlii defense, Beloslav Terziyski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ignat Mudev. The Khambarlii fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ignat Mudev should have stopped the shot. In the 47th minute, Yavor Kiratzov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hristo Gyosharkov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Beloslav Terziyski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Beloslav Terziyski managed to get in a good position for a shot. ФК Велбъжд1919 Кюстендил's supporters rose to their feet, but Beloslav Terziyski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beloslav Terziyski in the 73rd minute of play forced Khambarlii's goalkeeper Ignat Mudev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Yavor Kiratzov fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Asparuh Shindarski, passed just outside the right post. Hristo Gyosharkov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Asparuh Shindarski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladko Dragoychev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Strahil Chobanski's late challenge caught a Khambarlii's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Strahil Chobanski helped the player get up and apologised. Strahil Chobanski kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 88th match minute, ФК Велбъжд1919 Кюстендил was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bobi Sharlandzhiev to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute, ФК Велбъжд1919 Кюстендил's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Yavor Kiratzov fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Hristo Gyosharkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The attack was good, but when Yavor Kiratzov in the 90th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Beloslav Terziyski hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Hristo Gyosharkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asparuh Shindarski having to interfere. ФК Велбъжд1919 Кюстендил were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Khambarlii for a fine match.
