The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ecevit Afak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 9 played minutes, Konya Selçuklu's Orçun Demirtuğ shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ecevit Afak came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Konya Selçuklu reached it. In the 24th minute Mehmet Bilge Şahit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ecevit Afak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aytaç Avcu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baykam Eryilmaz hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. İsmet Sudi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Servet Makul having to interfere. Aytaç Avcu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Servet Makul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39thth minute of the game Mehmet Bilge Şahit who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cihangir's Ecevit Afak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and İsmet Sudi made a kick off. Cihangir's Ecevit Afak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Çelikan Baysoy in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of Konya Selçuklu booed when Cihangir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yavuz Selimhan Şahbender didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mehmet Bilge Şahit in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ecevit Afak saved Cihangir from getting behind. Ecevit Afak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Çelikan Baysoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. When Yavuz Selimhan Şahbender fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cihangir's protests and gave Yavuz Selimhan Şahbender a yellow card for diving instead. After 93 played minutes Cihangir got a freekick which was hit by Yavuz Selimhan Şahbender. Çelikan Baysoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Ecevit Afak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Mehmet Bilge Şahit made a precise shot to the right of Ecevit Afak. Cihangir's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. When the referee ended the match the Konya Selçuklu players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
