Axbridge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caistor the free kick. A collision led to Axbridge getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Ngũgĩ wa Wangeci hit a great ball. David Omar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernard Mwangi went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 23rd minute, Patrick Wainaina left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caistor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Axbridge's Paul Nekesa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emmanuel Kipketer in the 31st minute of play. With a little luck, Axbridge's Paul Nekesa got control of the ball when Patrick Wainaina tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrick Wainaina got free with Paul Nekesa in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Axbridge's zone, Kipchoge Denno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paul Nekesa came out of the goal and Kipchoge Denno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Wainaina in the 63rd minute of play forced Axbridge's goalkeeper Paul Nekesa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emmanuel Kipketer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paul Nekesa having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Bernard Mwangi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Omar was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emmanuel Kipketer in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paul Nekesa saved Axbridge from getting behind. Paul Nekesa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Wainaina in the 97th minute of the match. Axbridge's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
