Sadiq Häşimov might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Söhrab Ähäcanov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sadiq Häşimov ran back to his position shaking his head. 14 minutes into the game, Täväkkül Eminov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trekkie's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Julfa AŞ the free kick. The supporters of Julfa AŞ booed when Trekkie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Täväkkül Eminov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nabat Nağiyev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yadigar Xudiyev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute Hidayät Atäşi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Söhrab Ähäcanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cahid Abdulsalamov made a kick off. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Trekkie players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
