With a little luck, Nacional Potosí's Valery Abecia got control of the ball when John Aldridge tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valery Abecia came out of the goal and John Aldridge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Nacional Potosí defense, Neville Marsland kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valery Abecia. The Nacional Potosí fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valery Abecia should have stopped the shot. 16 minutes into the game, Odol Abancens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nacional Potosí's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manly FC the free kick. Valery Abecia made an important save on a dangerous shot by John Aldridge in the 17th minute. If John Aldridge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Valery Abecia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Aldridge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nacional Potosí:s Valery Abecia showed great skill when he stopped John Aldridge:s penalty. Valery Abecia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Aldridge in the 32nd minute of play. Duncan Mcinnes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Criston Abendano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelito Abadie made in the 38th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Vinicio Abeitia. In the 43rd minute of the game Marcelito Abadie made a throw-in which Vinicio Abeitia played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Criston Abendano in the 46th minute of play forced Manly FC's goalkeeper Duncan Mcinnes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

A collision led to Nacional Potosí getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Cordeara Abenda hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the game, John Aldridge cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Valery Abecia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valery Abecia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Aldridge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valery Abecia came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Manly FC's John Aldridge. But to his dismay, John Aldridge quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Fleming Wal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valery Abecia having to make a save. In the 65th minute, John Aldridge ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valery Abecia was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. When Guillen Aballe came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Nacional Potosí fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillen Aballe couldn't finish the play. Manly FC's Carmichael Carbery was substituted for John Aldridge. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Carmichael Carbery put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Valery Abecia. Duncan Mcinnes made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Odol Abancens sent off a good shot on target. Valery Abecia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carmichael Carbery's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Manly FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Neville Marsland in the 79th minute. Nacional Potosí's Valery Abecia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmichael Carbery in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute of the match Manly FC got a corner. Nacional Potosí's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Neville Marsland ran over to the corner to take the kick. Manly FC's Neville Marsland was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Valery Abecia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
