Yupandú FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s attentive Leo Delfino managed to snatch the ball when Timoteo Eneas made a throw-in in the 15th minute of the game. In the 16th minute Nemesio Tximitx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisc Ozon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Berriotxoa had several of the ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 17 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Serafin Cesaro as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Juan Manuel Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 25 played minutes Yupandú FC got a freekick which was hit by Malick Mané. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Berriotxoa in the 27th minute of play forced ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s goalkeeper Serafin Cesaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aaron Hegoi got free with Serafin Cesaro in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leo Delfino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Francisc Ozon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute Juan Manuel Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisc Ozon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Yupandú FC defense, Juan Manuel Cruz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisc Ozon. The Yupandú FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisc Ozon should have stopped the shot. Juan Manuel Cruz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisc Ozon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Yupandú FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Manuel Cruz came free, but Francisc Ozon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Martin Berriotxoa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Isaac Illan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 52 minutes into the match. In the 51st minute, one of Yupandú FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Yupandú FC. Juan Manuel Cruz shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Nemesio Cordaryal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yupandú FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nemesio Cordaryal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serafin Cesaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. made a substitution. Fernando Bot replaced Aaron Min. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. made a substitution. Christian Bergqvist replaced Juan Manuel Cruz. Nemesio Tximitx could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Francisc Ozon made a huge save. Yupandú FC's Francisc Ozon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Yupandú FC from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle sounded ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Yupandú FC.
