Figueira SC FSCMZ's Femke Bol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Santana in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Figueira SC FSCMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cayetano Sagrario was slow to take the kick. During this time Consejo del Mate's players had a chance to rest. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yuri Reis in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugo Orlando Gatti saved Consejo del Mate from getting behind. 25 minutes into the match, Figueira SC FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Bonifacio Ibon came free, but Femke Bol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Orlando Gatti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yuri Reis's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Malin Koshkov kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuri Reis in the 31st minute of play forced Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute Figueira SC FSCMZ were awarded a corner. Eugeniusz Bielenda went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Figueira SC FSCMZ's Yuri Reis to fire away a dangerous shot which Hugo Orlando Gatti despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 36th minute Vicente Pernia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Femke Bol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Femke Bol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Pernia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Femke Bol made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Vicente Santana sent off a good shot on target. 39 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Reis came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yuri Reis in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Orlando Gatti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 45 minutes, Yuri Reis made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vicente Santana to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Reis came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Consejo del Mate's Vicente Santana got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yuri Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Orlando Gatti having to interfere. Consejo del Mate's Bonifacio Ibon suffered a sore knee after 55 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Caetano Tasso's late challenge caught a Consejo del Mate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caetano Tasso helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Figueira SC FSCMZ's Caetano Tasso got a free kick in the 56th minute. If Vicente Pernia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 61st minute Vicente Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Femke Bol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dadá Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Yuri Reis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugo Orlando Gatti was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. The supporters of Consejo del Mate booed when Figueira SC FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugeniusz Bielenda didn't get a good kick on the ball. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Figueira SC FSCMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
