In the 18th minute of the game Alejo Martino made a throw-in which Aaron Peruanton played forward. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Enzo Oliverios successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Judas Verón might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enzo Oliverios. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Judas Verón ran back to his position shaking his head. Enzo Oliverios made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Judas Verón sent off a good shot on target. Alejo Martino hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Bernardo Raggio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Peruanton, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Silvio Abadia scored 1-0 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enzo Oliverios, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gogo Frantzes made in the 38th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Aaron Peruanton immediately put the ball in play. In the 41st minute, Justino Rodriguez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enzo Oliverios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Judas Verón in the 42nd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Monte Hermoso Beach's goal looked a bit too open when Judas Verón came free, but Enzo Oliverios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Judas Verón got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guillermo Cebrian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Raggio having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Judas Verón stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Judas Verón blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enzo Oliverios having to make a save. Enzo Oliverios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Judas Verón in the 53rd minute of play. In the 58th minute, Judas Verón got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Judas Verón had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 70 minutes into the game, Judas Verón cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Enzo Oliverios was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Belgrano de Pibasog's Clemente Gaizkine managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alejo Martino in the 73 minute of the game. Erasmo Jaunzuria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enzo Oliverios having to interfere. Belgrano de Pibasog made a substitution. Iulian Ilinca replaced Judas Verón. Bernardo Raggio stood somewhat misplaced when Fidel Maties came free in front of goal and shot 3-1 to the left of him in the 83 minute. Belgrano de Pibasog's Erasmo Jaunzuria got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Monte Hermoso Beach defense, Iulian Ilinca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enzo Oliverios. The Monte Hermoso Beach fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enzo Oliverios should have stopped the shot. 95 minutes into the match, Iulian Ilinca notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Monte Hermoso Beach's Enzo Oliverios. Enzo Oliverios was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Belgrano de Pibasog had played much better football throughout.
