Leonard Iosub ran over to the corner to take the kick. 8 minutes into the match, FC Carlsberg's goal looked a bit too open when Medárd Horváth came free, but James Novak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. James Novak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sylvain Larkin in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Medárd Horváth made a precise shot to the right of James Novak. FC Carlsberg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The FC Carlsberg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that James Novak should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wieslaw Marud was the one to do the kick off. FC Carlsberg's Lothaire Matthäus managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ştefan Vlădoiu in the 53 minute of the game. 55 minutes into the match, GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's goal looked a bit too open when Wieslaw Marud came free, but Peter Schmeichel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
