Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s Efrain Incendio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cristobal Estavan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Incendio in the 19th minute of play forced Newell´s's goalkeeper Cristobal Estavan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xander Goos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Wallengren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the game, Newell´s's Ioan Agachi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xander Goos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s Emmanouil Tsirigakis managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Elias Eguntsenti in the 33 minute of the game. Newell´s's Cristobal Estavan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raphael Cunha in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of Newell´s booed when Tarrasque Voador F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráusio Albuquerque didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Newell´s's Fabian Iago got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 53rd minute Raphael Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Estavan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
