Bearach McSteve showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Älämdar Känanov, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Bearach McSteve made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tärik Qäribov in the 37th minute of play. Corey Keegan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Ariz Äsädulla when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Barram Duggan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bowie Dillon during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd minute Älämdar Känanov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bearach McSteve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, U21 Ireland's goalkeeper Bearach McSteve had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bäşir Zaxundov. Tärik Qäribov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Bearach McSteve made a huge save. 78 minutes into the match, U21 Azerbaijan's goal looked a bit too open when Bowie Dillon came free, but Ariz Äsädulla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, U21 Ireland's Bearach McSteve got control of the ball when Tärik Qäribov tried to sneak it across the goal line. 97 minutes into the game, Älämdar Känanov recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bearach McSteve. Älämdar Känanov showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. U21 Azerbaijan's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
