A well-hit corner resulted in José Ignacio Fernández heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 6 minutes into the match, Godfried Teunens had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Macario. Berutti FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Godfried Teunens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Angelino Castulo kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfried Teunens in the 15th minute of play forced Berutti FC's goalkeeper Bruno Macario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Godfried Teunens in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Macario saved Berutti FC from getting behind. 22 minutes into the match, Berutti FC's goal looked a bit too open when Godfried Teunens came free, but Bruno Macario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Berutti FC's goalkeeper Bruno Macario had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godfried Teunens. 26 minutes into the match, Berutti FC's Freddie Foley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Humberto Salomone narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arnaldo Pirmin kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After 28 played minutes Berutti FC got a freekick which was hit by Niceto Aznaro. La Bichineta's Baba Yazar was substituted for Godfried Teunens. After 49 played minutes La Bichineta got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Pirmin. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Baba Yazar was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Berutti FC's Melquiades Lopes got a free kick in the 57th minute. Baba Yazar scored 2-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Macario, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Berutti FC's Bruno Macario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baba Yazar in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute Baba Yazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Macario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Macario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baba Yazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Berutti FC's Vladislav Tzintzov got a free kick in the 72nd minute. La Bichineta's Liu Xing Xi was substituted for José Ignacio Fernández.
