Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vaggelis Mitsiou to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thalis Krommidas got free with Patryk Ranc in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 88th minute, Olgierd Fronczak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Turbo Koksy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Thanasis Koltsidas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olgierd Fronczak, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. AEK S.C walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
