Ramiro Paiva's late challenge caught a MAZER SAF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramiro Paiva helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of MAZER SAF booed when DENVER™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, MAZER SAF's goal looked a bit too open when Delfim de Amorim came free, but Adriano Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, DENVER™'s goalkeeper Toninho Pinheiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Furlan. The supporters of MAZER SAF booed when DENVER™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim Bastos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernesto Branco hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Toninho Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Garro, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. DENVER™'s Emanuel Meirelles got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th match minute, DENVER™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delfim de Amorim to maneuver through the defense. Alfredão Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After 41 played minutes DENVER™ got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Meirelles. Rodrigo Garros short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Toninho Pinheiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. DENVER™'s Toninho Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Garro in the 49th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Delfim de Amorim made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, DENVER™'s Alfredão Guerra got a free kick in the 58th minute. Jarbas Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Roberto Firmino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MAZER SAF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Rodrigo Garro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute Rodrigo Garro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toninho Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Lenílson Jacinto fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DENVER™'s protests and gave Lenílson Jacinto a yellow card for diving instead. Lenílson Jacinto hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Toninho Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Garro, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute, Alfredo Furlan made a precise shot to the right of Toninho Pinheiro. DENVER™'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After 92 played minutes MAZER SAF got a freekick which was hit by Elivélton Custódio. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Rodrigo Garro managed to get in a good position for a shot. MAZER SAF's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Garro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toninho Pinheiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
