After a rather tough play, Golden Lions FC's Björn Björkqvist got a free kick in the 17th minute. Loco Durazno scored 1-3 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeremy Nicholas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of New England Minas booed when Golden Lions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loco Durazno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeremy Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markus Svensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Golden Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Silva came free, but Anders Lundqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeremy Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bebben Johansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loco Durazno in the 40th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Jeremy Nicholas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Markus Svensson was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Loco Durazno got free with Jeremy Nicholas in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Markus Svensson in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeremy Nicholas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Golden Lions FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Kálmán Balogh hit a great ball. Loco Durazno in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jeremy Nicholas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Golden Lions FC's Anders Lundqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Werner Castillo in the 60th minute of play. Werner Castillo scored 2-4 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anders Lundqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. New England Minas made a substitution. Jörgen Frohm replaced Conny Tingberg.
