With a little luck, Zola Predosa FC's Josué Rego got control of the ball when Michel Goiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zola Predosa FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bai Jun Chong was slow to take the kick. During this time Szombathely Squirrels's players had a chance to rest. Michel Goiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Josué Rego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Lei Jian Xiong took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Josué Rego to make any attempt to save it. Lei Jian Xiong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Rego having to interfere. In the 15th minute of the match Fabrice Oberlé sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnold Szuper skillfully saved the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's Bai Jun Chong sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josué Rego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 17 minutes, Davey Conlin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zola Predosa FC and the Szombathely Squirrels players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Zola Predosa FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Davey Conlin hit a great ball. When Tivadar Demeter came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Szombathely Squirrels fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tivadar Demeter couldn't finish the play. Arnold Szuper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amedeo Piermattei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Josué Rego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tivadar Demeter in the 26th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Szombathely Squirrels's Josué Rego threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tivadar Demeter, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Arnold Szuper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inácio Andrade in the 30th minute of the match. Inácio Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnold Szuper having to interfere. Zola Predosa FC's Josué Rego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tivadar Demeter in the 39th minute of play. After 41 minutes of play, Szombathely Squirrels's Bai Jun Chong made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Josué Rego was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lei Jian Xiong charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lei Jian Xiong the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 44 played minutes Szombathely Squirrels got a freekick which was hit by Lei Jian Xiong. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amedeo Piermattei to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bai Jun Chong in the 53rd minute of play forced Zola Predosa FC's goalkeeper Josué Rego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josué Rego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bai Jun Chong in the 57th minute of play. Arnold Szuper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Inácio Andrade in the 59th minute. After having played for 60 minutes, Florian Moreschi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zola Predosa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florian Moreschi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Josué Rego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tivadar Demeter in the 63rd minute of play. Arnold Szuper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florian Moreschi in the 65th minute. Josué Rego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lei Jian Xiong in the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Tivadar Demeter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Szombathely Squirrels fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Szombathely Squirrels's Tamás Szentesi was substituted for Tivadar Demeter. Josué Rego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lei Jian Xiong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Josué Rego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tamás Szentesi, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 85 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goal looked a bit too open when Amedeo Piermattei came free, but Arnold Szuper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Josué Rego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lei Jian Xiong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the match, Tamás Szentesi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Josué Rego. Zola Predosa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tamás Szentesi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Szombathely Squirrels fully deserved thier win.
