When Norway's Steinar Flo in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Moldova's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Steinar Flo in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cãlin Damaschin saved Moldova from getting behind. Kjell Trengereid showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonid Afteni in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Perju in the 22nd minute of play forced Norway's goalkeeper Kjell Trengereid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Perju in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kjell Trengereid saved Norway from getting behind. 27 minutes into the match, Moldova's goal looked a bit too open when Steinar Flo came free, but Cãlin Damaschin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Daniel Perju left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Moldova fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Kjell Trengereid made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denis Lazãr in the 34th minute. The supporters of Norway booed when Moldova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Gonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emil Gonta made in the 40th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Octavian Eremciuc. After a rather tough play, Moldova's Octavian Eremciuc got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Norway fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 48th minute. Penalty! Norway:s Kjell Trengereid showed great skill when he stopped Leonid Afteni:s penalty. The corner ended in Octavian Eremciuc almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Norway's Kjell Trengereid did a great save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for C.J. Braut Haaland to strike the kick off in the second half. After 61 played minutes, Norway's Tor-Egil Sollien shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cãlin Damaschin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Norway reached it. The audience was convinced that Denis Lazãr's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kjell Trengereid was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Norway's Kjell Trengereid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Lazãr in the 67th minute of play. Moldova made a substitution. Grisha Mbappè replaced Leonid Afteni. Moldova's Grisha Mbappè was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kjell Trengereid in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Moldova booed when Norway was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joachim Sørhaug didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard and well directed shot from Grisha Mbappè led 74 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Norway's Kjell Trengereid became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 2-1. A collision led to Moldova getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Marius Mititel hit a great ball. If Tor-Egil Sollien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Ferdinand Tvete fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Norway's protests and gave Ferdinand Tvete a yellow card for diving instead. Ferdinand Tvete hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. When Moldova's Grisha Mbappè in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Norway's goalie prevented a goal. Moldova's Cãlin Damaschin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Moldova from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Norway's C.J. Braut Haaland slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cãlin Damaschin. That made the score 2-2 after 89 minutes of play. After some careless play in the Norway defense, Daniel Perju kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kjell Trengereid. The Norway fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kjell Trengereid should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Moldova fully deserved thier win.
