The audience was convinced that Joaquim Marques's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ruy Cearense was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Duarte Prado kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Marques in the 26th minute of play forced BEST FABIO F.C.'s goalkeeper Ruy Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquim Marques stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Várzea F.C.'s Murilo Peixoto got control of the ball when Edinho Alagoano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ruy Cearense came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Várzea F.C.'s Aníbal Paes. But to his dismay, Aníbal Paes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After having played for 61 minutes, Eurico Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BEST FABIO F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Eurico Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 69 played minutes BEST FABIO F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Eurico Queirós. After 70 played minutes BEST FABIO F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Eurico Queirós. After 75 played minutes BEST FABIO F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Pombal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joaquim Marques in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruy Cearense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Murilo Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eurico Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, BEST FABIO F.C.'s Fernando Varela got a free kick in the 88th minute. Várzea F.C.'s Rubinho Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Murilo Peixoto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edinho Alagoano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 94 minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the BEST FABIO F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Várzea F.C..
