Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Marin Tufescu kicked off to start the match. Iustinian Tănăsescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Corneliu Vulpăşin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iustinian Tănăsescu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the last second Corneliu Vulpăşin throw himself and got hold of the ball when Dorel Vulpe in the 4thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Damian Porumbescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Corneliu Vulpăşin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iustinian Tănăsescu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Corneliu Vulpăşin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 14th minute, Gheorghe Albescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. János Oltean took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Corneliu Vulpăşin. Unicorns ™'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 25 minutes, Marin Tufescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unicorns ™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Marin Tufescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Academia Rio's Basarab Cubleșan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marin Tufescu in the 26th minute of play. Basarab Cubleșan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliodor Craia in the 33rd minute of the match. When Marin Tufescu came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Unicorns ™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marin Tufescu couldn't finish the play. Academia Rio's Mugur Nichita got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Corneliu Vulpăşin was a little too slow when Dorel Vulpe got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dorel Vulpe in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Corneliu Vulpăşin saved Unicorns ™ from getting behind. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iustinian Tănăsescu was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Academia Rio's Iustinian Tănăsescu made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Corneliu Vulpăşin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 56th minute of the match János Oltean sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Corneliu Vulpăşin skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Unicorns ™'s Marin Tufescu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Basarab Cubleșan. That made the score 4-1 after 62 minutes of play. János Oltean kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Corneliu Vulpăşin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorel Vulpe in the 67th minute of play. Corneliu Vulpăşin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustinian Tănăsescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Academia Rio's Damian Porumbescu got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 78th match minute, Unicorns ™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silviu Bogătan to maneuver through the defense. Academia Rio's Mugur Nichita got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Unicorns ™'s Corneliu Vulpăşin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iustinian Tănăsescu in the 85th minute of play. Iustinian Tănăsescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Corneliu Vulpăşin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alex Răduț sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Academia Rio's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
