An unexpectedly hard shot by Timoteo Columbo in the 7th minute of play forced Tirant lo Blanch's goalkeeper Per-Oskar Svensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Carmona got a throw-in 13 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Enrique Saura. In the 15th minute Enrique Saura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélio Mangueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hélio Mangueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Saura in the 21st minute of the match. Gaizka Mendieta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hélio Mangueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Saura, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrique Saura got free with Hélio Mangueira in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd minute Enrique Saura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélio Mangueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremias Ezkerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastián Reina got a throw-in 41 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Enrique Saura. Carlos Figueroa kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Gaizka Mendieta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hélio Mangueira came out and tried to block the shot, but Gaizka Mendieta slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 48th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enrique Saura to make the kick off. Pastor Elequemedo made in the 55th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Timoteo Columbo. Enrique Saura scored 2-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hélio Mangueira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Academia 1903's Gérard Magyar was substituted for Harald Ek. In the 62nd minute, Nicanor Morenø left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academia 1903 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Hélio Mangueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Saura, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Academia 1903's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Saura came free, but Hélio Mangueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Academia 1903 getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Carlos Figueroa hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the match, Daniel Cazacu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hélio Mangueira. Academia 1903's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Cazacu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Nicanor Morenø took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Per-Oskar Svensson to make any attempt to save it. Tirant lo Blanch's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
