Harry Löfdahl's late challenge caught a The Dalwhinnie Boys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harry Löfdahl helped the player get up and apologised. Lasse Pfister struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Niguel Varaona didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC United. Otto Bekker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Ekberg having to interfere. 19 minutes into the game, Tobias Nyman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Dalwhinnie Boys the free kick. Roger Ekberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jurjen Maes in the 38th minute of the match. Gottfrid Larsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niguel Varaona having to interfere. Loke Rudolfo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Stijn Klompe made the kick off in the second half. Jurjen Maes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roger Ekberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jurjen Maes, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 81st minute, Lasse Pfister left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AC United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 84th minute, Lasse Pfister got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The The Dalwhinnie Boys supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching AC United's performance. The match ended with a win for AC United.
