Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Manuel Campens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sebastian Käller went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 7th match minute, Sweden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birger Spetz to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Belgium's Wolf De Hond sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustaf Eklund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 13 minutes Sweden's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Herman Frans who took care of the corner kick. Birger Spetz charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Birger Spetz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 18 played minutes Sweden got a freekick which was hit by Birger Spetz. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Belgium's goalkeeper Manuel Campens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Manuel Campens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joacim Hansson in the 45th minute of the match. The Belgium players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sweden were winning 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wolf De Hond was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Sweden's goal looked a bit too open when Wolf De Hond came free, but Gustaf Eklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wolf De Hond recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Campens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Käller in the 55th minute. Billy Goolen made in the 64th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Yannik Blocks immediately put the ball in play. Manuel Campens made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Sebastian Käller sent off a good shot on target. Manuel Campens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Käller in the 65th minute. Sweden made a substitution. Jan Höijer replaced Einar Hedström. In the 71st minute Armand Steenberghs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaf Eklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the game, Sebastian Käller cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Manuel Campens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Armand Steenberghs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastian Käller's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Campens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Sweden made a substitution. Holger Hvidegaard replaced Doug Traoré. Sweden's Lars Sundström was substituted for Sebastian Käller. 86 minutes into the match, Belgium's goalkeeper Manuel Campens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Douglas Västberg. Gustaf Eklund came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Belgium's Wolf De Hond. But to his dismay, Wolf De Hond quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 90th minute of the match, Henrik Berg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Manuel Campens saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Manuel Campens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrik Berg, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The Sweden players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
