After 14 played minutes U.E. Cavall Blanc got a freekick which was hit by Roque Benítez. After a defensive mix-up in U.E. Cavall Blanc's zone, Elroy Zufferey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donzel Portillo came out of the goal and Elroy Zufferey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon in the 25th minute of play forced U.E. Cavall Blanc's goalkeeper Donzel Portillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 minutes of play, FC Lugano's Ray Büeler made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donzel Portillo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in U.E. Cavall Blanc's zone, Elroy Zufferey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donzel Portillo came out of the goal and Elroy Zufferey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute Francisco Solera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godo Gøl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herauso Moya in the 33rd minute of play forced FC Lugano's goalkeeper Godo Gøl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Solera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Godo Gøl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donzel Portillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon to make the kick off. Elroy Zufferey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Donzel Portillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donzel Portillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jirko Bur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rdth minute of the game Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U.E. Cavall Blanc's Donzel Portillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roque Benítez hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Ray Büeler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute, Justino Peña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elroy Zufferey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Donzel Portillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Lugano. Donzel Portillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon in the 80th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donzel Portillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 84 minutes of play, FC Lugano's Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donzel Portillo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 89 minutes, Jirko Bur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Lugano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jirko Bur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the game, Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Lugano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U.E. Cavall Blanc the free kick. In the 94th minute, Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
