Godo Gøl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arsenio Atarratze in the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon in the 34th minute of play forced Mapovihesa FC's goalkeeper Silverio Modestio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Godo Gøl didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hernan Argina went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 41st minute, FC Lugano's Teddy Racine seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Teddy Racine the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Lugano protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Teddy Racine had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Mapovihesa FC booed when FC Lugano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teddy Racine didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute of the match Hernan Argina shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Godo Gøl showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. FC Lugano's Godo Gøl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arsenio Atarratze in the 44th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Niceto Aires to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Mapovihesa FC's goalkeeper Silverio Modestio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ismael Pancho's late challenge caught a FC Lugano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. But to his dismay, Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. 73 minutes in the game, Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon in the 76th minute of play forced Mapovihesa FC's goalkeeper Silverio Modestio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hernan Argina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Godo Gøl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Jirko Bur took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silverio Modestio. Silverio Modestio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Jirko Bur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Lugano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. In the 94th minute, Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon made a precise shot to the right of Silverio Modestio. Mapovihesa FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Lugano had played much better football throughout.
