After 7 played minutes, Bandung Tigers's Fuad Sinambela shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Baltasar Meder came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bandung Tigers reached it. After 10 played minutes Leones FC got a freekick which was hit by Albino Viviano. If Bartolo Cresconio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Krisna Sihombing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cornelis Afiffudin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albino Viviano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baltasar Meder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niki Krishna in the 23rd minute of play. Baltasar Meder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krisna Sihombing, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Leones FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Ignacio Cayo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krisna Sihombing in the 36th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Baltasar Meder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Matias Montes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute Albino Viviano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelis Afiffudin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Albino Viviano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leones FC's Baltasar Meder proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Leones FC from getting a goal against them. In the 86th match minute, Leones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignacio Cayo to maneuver through the defense. Many of Bandung Tigers's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Bandung Tigers may have spent more time on the ball, but Leones FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
