Petru Nisporeanu came out and tried to block the shot, but Ted Holmgren slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Pedro Cea during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. José Pedro Cea hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Sundborn IF's Sven-Olof Stephansson got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute of the match Dong Yang Yu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kalle Askberg skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 19 minutes, Börje Ekström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sundborn IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Börje Ekström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Sundborn IF's Ted Holmgren in the 24th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Petru Nisporeanu was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Deportivo Peñarol FIFV through an amazing save. Ted Holmgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Petru Nisporeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ted Holmgren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petru Nisporeanu was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Dong Yang Yu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Leon Terciero seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Leon Terciero the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Deportivo Peñarol FIFV protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leon Terciero had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Deportivo Peñarol FIFV! When the match had been going on for 39 minutes, Sundborn IF's Joachim Svensson got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Petru Nisporeanu. Dong Yang Yu hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kaloyan Mitashev to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Sundborn IF's Ted Holmgren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Petru Nisporeanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Petru Nisporeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ted Holmgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Sundborn IF's Ragnar Løth got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 55th minute, Liu Yan Yan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sundborn IF's Kalle Askberg didn't even have to move. In the 57th minute Ted Holmgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petru Nisporeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 59 minutes Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joachim Svensson who took care of the corner kick. Joachim Svensson made a great header on Sundborn IF's corner, it was just that Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Petru Nisporeanu managed to reach the ball for a save. 60 minutes into the game, Dong Yang Yu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sundborn IF the free kick. After 60 played minutes Deportivo Peñarol FIFV got a freekick which was hit by Dong Yang Yu. Qiu Yue Di sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Håning came free, but Petru Nisporeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Petru Nisporeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Håning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ted Holmgren in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petru Nisporeanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82nd minute Ted Holmgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petru Nisporeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sundborn IF's Simon Wallin was substituted for Kaloyan Mitashev. Petru Nisporeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Ekström in the 89th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goal looked a bit too open when Börje Ekström came free, but Petru Nisporeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kjell Holmberg spun around in front of the goal 92 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjell Holmberg in the 95th minute of play forced Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goalkeeper Petru Nisporeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sundborn IF fully deserved thier win.
