The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Ligeiro F.C's Hamílton Chaves got control of the ball when Magno Moreira tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 12 minutes of play, Ligeiro F.C's Orlando Sampaio made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geovanildo Mendi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Geovanildo Mendi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Sampaio in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Alexandre Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frank Tasso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geovanildo Mendi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Ligeiro F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betinho Trancoso to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute of the match Alexandre Mendes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hamílton Chaves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 26th minute, Davi Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 28 minutes into the game, Rubinho Cunha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ligeiro F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vila Zumbi - Férias the free kick. Vila Zumbi - Férias made a substitution. Elano Coutinho replaced Magno Moreira. Rubinho Cunha hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Zé Roberto Silveira struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Hamílton Chaves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vila Zumbi - Férias. 32 minutes into the match, Ligeiro F.C's goalkeeper Hamílton Chaves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elano Coutinho. Ligeiro F.C's Chico Souto suffered a sore thigh after 34 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Davi Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Vila Zumbi - Férias's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Saldanha came free, but Geovanildo Mendi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geovanildo Mendi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Trancoso in the 41st minute of the match. Ligeiro F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abel Saldanha in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes into the game, Abel Saldanha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Geovanildo Mendi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Vila Zumbi - Férias players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ligeiro F.C were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orlando Sampaio made a kick off. Geovanildo Beckenbauer kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Ligeiro F.C's Abel Saldanha shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 62nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Geovanildo Mendi but with some difficulty. Adelino Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Geovanildo Mendi came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Ligeiro F.C's Rodolfo Trancoso. But to his dismay, Rodolfo Trancoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 73rd match minute, Ligeiro F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caio Koehler to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Vila Zumbi - Férias booed when Ligeiro F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubinho Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vila Zumbi - Férias's Zé Roberto Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ligeiro F.C's Hamílton Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davi Montenegro in the 78th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodolfo Trancoso got free with Geovanildo Mendi in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 81 minutes into the game, one of Vila Zumbi - Férias:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Ligeiro F.C a penalty, 83 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Abel Saldanha, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Vila Zumbi - Férias's Geovanildo Mendi. 0-5. Frank Tasso's late challenge caught a Vila Zumbi - Férias's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frank Tasso helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ligeiro F.C getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Frank Tasso hit a great ball. When Adelino Ramalho fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ligeiro F.C's protests and gave Adelino Ramalho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th match minute, Ligeiro F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Ligeiro F.C booed when Vila Zumbi - Férias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovanildo Beckenbauer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Vila Zumbi - Férias's Zé Pedro Ortiz got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodolfo Trancoso got free with Geovanildo Mendi in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ligeiro F.C's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
