The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Artur Tande recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 3rd minute Artur Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betão de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Lucas Beltrán ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Betão de Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucas Beltrán in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Betão de Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. S.E. Cachoeirinha's Betão de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Beltrán in the 20th minute of play. Betão de Amaral came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Era's Lucas Beltrán. But to his dismay, Lucas Beltrán quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Nova Era's Eugênio Meireles was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Betão de Amaral in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. João do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Lucas Beltrán's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Betão de Amaral was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. In the 38th minute, Lucas Beltrán made a precise shot to the right of Betão de Amaral. S.E. Cachoeirinha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Betão de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Beltrán in the 43rd minute of play. Nova Era's attentive Artur Tande managed to snatch the ball when Reginaldo Teixeira made a throw-in in the 44th minute of the game. S.E. Cachoeirinha's Betão de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Beltrán in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Lucas Beltrán made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, S.E. Cachoeirinha's Zé Recife got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After having played for 53 minutes, Lucas Beltrán managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nova Era's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Beltrán was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Lucas Beltrán came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Nova Era fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Beltrán couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alpheios Logarakis in the 59th minute of play forced S.E. Cachoeirinha's goalkeeper Betão de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Nova Era fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Nova Era's Lucas Beltrán looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 64th minute, Lucas Beltrán left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nova Era fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Betão de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alpheios Logarakis in the 71st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucas Beltrán in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Betão de Amaral saved S.E. Cachoeirinha from getting behind. In the 82nd minute, Lucas Beltrán made a precise shot to the right of Betão de Amaral. S.E. Cachoeirinha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. In the 88th minute Nova Era were awarded a corner. Eugênio Meireles went to the cornerflag to take it. Betão de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Tande in the 90th minute of play. After 91 minutes S.E. Cachoeirinha's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eugênio Meireles who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Nova Era's Eugênio Meireles to fire away a dangerous shot which Betão de Amaral despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Ceresso in the 93rd minute of play forced S.E. Cachoeirinha's goalkeeper Betão de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Alpheios Logarakis took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Betão de Amaral to make any attempt to save it.
