Esen Sanal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelinho Hermes in the 10th minute of the match. When Lei Feng Yan got free in front of the goal in the 12th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Eugênio Recife was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Marcelinho Hermes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esen Sanal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eugênio Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lei Feng Yan in the 16th minute of play. The corner led to S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Çelik Cihanser getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Benedykt Pankiewicz took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eugênio Recife. Eugênio Recife dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelinho Hermes in the 24th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Noel Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Noel Neves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caxias do Sul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duarte Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
