João Carlos Mesquita ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Rathmore Lime Tree's Hakim Foussard got a free kick in the 14th minute. Thibault Delanoë received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Alix Geoffray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, João Carlos Mesquita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alix Geoffray. Rathmore Lime Tree's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Carlos Mesquita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Richard da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alix Geoffray having to interfere. 33 minutes into the game, Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's João Carlos Mesquita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alix Geoffray made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. A collision led to Rathmore Lime Tree getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Hakim Foussard hit a great ball. The Rathmore Lime Tree players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toufik Loir to make the kick off. Rathmore Lime Tree's Alix Geoffray proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Rathmore Lime Tree from getting a goal against them. João Carlos Mesquita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Alix Geoffray made a huge save. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rathmore Lime Tree's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Richard da Fonseca was slow to take the kick. During this time Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Rathmore Lime Tree's goalie and right to João Carlos Mesquita. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Rathmore Lime Tree's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Rathmore Lime Tree's Alix Geoffray proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Rathmore Lime Tree from getting a goal against them. João Carlos Mesquita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alix Geoffray read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. João Carlos Mesquita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alix Geoffray firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Rathmore Lime Tree's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Richard da Fonseca took the corner. After having played for 67 minutes, João Carlos Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Carlos Mesquita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alix Geoffray made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when João Carlos Mesquita sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's João Carlos Mesquita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alix Geoffray. That made the score 0-6 after 69 minutes of play. In the 74th minute, Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's João Carlos Mesquita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alix Geoffray. Alix Geoffray yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Gilbert Cosson hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Richard da Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Carlos Mesquita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alix Geoffray having to make a save. After 82nd play minutes João Carlos Mesquita shot 0-8, a short shot which went by Alix Geoffray and just under the crossbar into goal. João Carlos Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 92 minutes into the match, Rathmore Lime Tree's goalkeeper Alix Geoffray had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Carlos Mesquita. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Toufik Loir managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rathmore Lime Tree's supporters rose to their feet, but Toufik Loir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Meng Yu Hui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
