In the 5th minute, Júlio Vaz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sean Van Dijck was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Fredrik Terwenhouts short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Petre Encuțescu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sean Van Dijck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Vaz in the 15th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fredrik Terwenhout got free with Petre Encuțescu in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zecku's Petre Encuțescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Zecku from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Sidro in the 27th minute of play forced Limburg United's goalkeeper Sean Van Dijck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Zecku's Wilfredo Lazcano to fire away a dangerous shot which Sean Van Dijck despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Petre Encuțescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fredrik Terwenhout's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. If Júlio Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivor Peake in the 37th minute of play forced Limburg United's goalkeeper Sean Van Dijck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Limburg United's goal looked a bit too open when Ivor Peake came free, but Sean Van Dijck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauro Malavasi kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Limburg United's Froilan Abar shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 45th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Petre Encuțescu but with some difficulty. The Limburg United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Zecku were winning 0-1.

After a defensive mix-up in Limburg United's zone, Jairo Sidro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sean Van Dijck came out of the goal and Jairo Sidro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 59 minutes, Jairo Sidro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zecku's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jairo Sidro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sean Van Dijck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Vaz in the 62nd minute of play. Petre Encuțescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrik Terwenhout in the 66th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Limburg United's goalkeeper Sean Van Dijck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivor Peake. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Isidoro Manilan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zecku's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidoro Manilan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sean Van Dijck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Limburg United's Sean Van Dijck got control of the ball when Ivor Peake tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joris De Raeve's late challenge caught a Zecku's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joris De Raeve helped the player get up and apologised. After 86 played minutes Limburg United got a freekick which was hit by Joris De Raeve. Limburg United's Sean Van Dijck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Limburg United from getting a goal against them. When Isidoro Manilan came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Zecku fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Manilan couldn't finish the play.
