With a little luck, Uggeløse SIK's Michael Iurisch got control of the ball when Gösta Giliusson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 26 played minutes, Uggeløse SIK's Benjamin Lekberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Robin Sharma came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Uggeløse SIK reached it. Gösta Giliusson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Michael Iurisch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gösta Giliusson in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michael Iurisch saved Uggeløse SIK from getting behind. 35 minutes into the match, Blue Mountain State's goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Sesuldo came free, but Robin Sharma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niceto Sesuldo in the 35th minute of play forced Blue Mountain State's goalkeeper Robin Sharma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niceto Sesuldo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robin Sharma having to make a save. If Niceto Sesuldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Li Peng was the one to do the kick off. Uggeløse SIK's Michael Iurisch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 73rd minute of play. Uggeløse SIK's Asmund Rundkvist was substituted for Li Peng. Michael Iurisch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lionel-Andrés Messi, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The audience was convinced that Lionel-Andrés Messi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Michael Iurisch was relentless in the 88th minute of the game.
