When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Alfred Kiszkiel put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Márcio Mazza. Márcio Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Kiszkiel in the 28th minute of the match. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Márcio Mazza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd minute Guto Brandao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafim Neiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serafim Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guto Brandao in the 35th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Alfred Kiszkiel put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Márcio Mazza. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfred Kiszkiel in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Márcio Mazza saved Coritiba Futebol Clube from getting behind. Arlindo Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Coritiba Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Kiszkiel came free, but Márcio Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Márcio Mazza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfred Kiszkiel's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tião Alcântara in the 88th minute of play forced Coritiba Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Márcio Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
