International Thunders's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tibor Bäuschlein was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind International Thunders's goalkeeper Rouven Nussli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 30th minute of the match Ex Inferis got a corner. International Thunders's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Haroldo Erramu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ex Inferis's Haroldo Erramu to fire away a dangerous shot which Rouven Nussli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Oskar Vahlberg took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Agustin Goyo. Agustin Goyo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Agustin Goyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Percival Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percival Costa in the 47th minute of play forced Ex Inferis's goalkeeper Agustin Goyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 54th match minute, International Thunders was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Sanguinetti to maneuver through the defense. Saturnino Roldan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
