But to his dismay, Cássio Secco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Celta de Virgos's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Pracki came free, but Ceferino Austin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Adam Pracki had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ceferino Austin. Celta de Virgos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adam Pracki was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. With a little luck, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Cássio Ramos got control of the ball when Leopoldo Fernanco tried to sneak it across the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Celta de Virgos's Leopoldo Fernanco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cássio Ramos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 33 minutes Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antonio Madeo who took care of the corner kick. Antonio Madeo made a great header on Celta de Virgos's corner, it was just that Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Cássio Ramos managed to reach the ball for a save. The Clube Atl. Taquaritinga fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Adam Pracki looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. But to his dismay, Leopoldo Fernanco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leopoldo Fernanco to strike the kick off in the second half. Cássio Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Fernanco in the 55th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Clube Atl.
