After a defensive mix-up in Hachita FC's zone, Nelson Haedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casado Naveda came out of the goal and Nelson Haedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 7th minute, Santo Rafecas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nelson Haedo struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Casado Naveda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Olimpia. Nelson Haedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 16 minutes, Santo Rafecas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hachita FC and the Club Olimpia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hachita FC's Santo Rafecas got a free kick in the 17th minute. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Nelson Haedo sped through Hachita FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Casado Naveda. 38 minutes into the match, Nelson Haedo notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Hachita FC's Casado Naveda. Casado Naveda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Club Olimpia's Nelson Haedo got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teyo Ordoñez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Nalo in the 46th minute of the match. Nelson Haedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casado Naveda having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felix Chavez to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Nelson Haedo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Casado Naveda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fernando Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Club Olimpia getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Mateus Baruz hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Hachita FC's Miguel Nalo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Teyo Ordoñez. Teyo Ordoñez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. Nelson Haedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Casado Naveda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Haedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Nelson Haedo put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Casado Naveda. But to his dismay, Fernando Cardozo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. After 89 minutes of play, Club Olimpia's Nelson Haedo made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Casado Naveda was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nelson Haedo struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Casado Naveda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Olimpia. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Club Olimpia had won after a very even match.
