Muhittin Işınbay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Turgay Çetinay came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Altay SK's Genco Gürler. But to his dismay, Genco Gürler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 8th minute, Ahmet Hafiz Yumus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Turgay Çetinay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genco Gürler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Turgay Çetinay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Genco Gürler's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. When Fazıl Uğursel came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Altay SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fazıl Uğursel couldn't finish the play. 18 minutes into the match, Samsunspor SK2011's goal looked a bit too open when Genco Gürler came free, but Turgay Çetinay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Turgay Çetinay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genco Gürler in the 19th minute of the match. Samsunspor SK2011's Turgay Çetinay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melih Hozatlı in the 20th minute of play. In the 20th minute Melih Hozatlı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Turgay Çetinay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of Altay SK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Samsunspor SK2011:s goal. Genco Gürler kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Turgay Çetinay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muhittin Işınbay in the 31st minute of the match. Fazıl Uğursel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Turgay Çetinay having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Samsunspor SK2011's zone, Melih Hozatlı stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Turgay Çetinay came out of the goal and Melih Hozatlı tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Batu Yılma's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Maximiliano Uhin firmly grabbed it by the left post. Samsunspor SK2011's Turgay Çetinay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İstemihan Ulun in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute, Artun Özarkın got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute Altay SK were awarded a corner. Artun Özarkın went to the cornerflag to take it. Altay SK's Artun Özarkın was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Turgay Çetinay in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 53rd match minute Artun Özarkın ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Turgay Çetinay. 0-2. If Fazıl Uğursel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fazıl Uğursel scored 0-3 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Turgay Çetinay, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Altay SK booed when Samsunspor SK2011 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yakup Onurad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fazıl Uğursel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Turgay Çetinay having to make a save. 65 minutes into the match, Altay SK's goal looked a bit too open when Celil Buyrukalp came free, but Maximiliano Uhin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Altay SK's Fazıl Uğursel was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 83rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. İstemihan Ulun struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Turgay Çetinay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Altay SK. When the match was over Altay SK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Samsunspor SK2011 throughout the match.
