Joacim Dromph took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steinar Flo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kjell Trengereid showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Desislav Sergeev, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Billy Borre threw the ball into play from the sideline. Norway's Ferdinand Tvete quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 22nd match minute, Botev Plovdiv 1912 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Billy Borre to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute of the match Norway got a corner. Botev Plovdiv 1912's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tor-Egil Sollien ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Bjarte Paul got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Joacim Dromph quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Norway's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tor-Egil Sollien in the 28th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Steinar Flo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Steinar Flo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joacim Dromph read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Botev Plovdiv 1912's Joacim Dromph played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steinar Flo in the 35th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Steinar Flo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joacim Dromph. Botev Plovdiv 1912's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Steinar Flo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alf Hansson to strike the kick off in the second half. Joacim Dromph came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Norway's Steinar Flo. But to his dismay, Steinar Flo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 55 minutes into the match, Botev Plovdiv 1912's goal looked a bit too open when Steinar Flo came free, but Joacim Dromph reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Botev Plovdiv 1912's goalkeeper Joacim Dromph, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Norway's C.J. Braut Haaland was substituted for Steinar Flo. Ferdinand Tvete made a great header on Norway's corner, it was just that Botev Plovdiv 1912's Joacim Dromph managed to reach the ball for a save. Joacim Dromph showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from C.J. Braut Haaland, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Kjell Trengereid showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desislav Sergeev in the 66th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the game, Norway's C.J. Braut Haaland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joacim Dromph made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Botev Plovdiv 1912's Bogdan Gornishki was substituted for Avgust Tetevenski. 77 minutes into the match, Botev Plovdiv 1912's goal looked a bit too open when C.J. Braut Haaland came free, but Joacim Dromph reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute C.J. Braut Haaland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joacim Dromph saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the game, Norway's Ferdinand Tvete nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After a defensive mix-up in Botev Plovdiv 1912's zone, C.J. Braut Haaland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joacim Dromph came out of the goal and C.J. Braut Haaland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. C.J. Braut Haaland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joacim Dromph read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. C.J. Braut Haaland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Botev Plovdiv 1912's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
