The crowd rose to their feet as Joinville City - FSCMZ's Geovanildo Luis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of David Abad. That made the score 1-1 after 35 minutes of play. 43 minutes into the game, Karsten Ulbak threw the ball into play from the sideline. Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Long Xiang Yuan quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 45th match minute, Joinville City - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karsten Ulbak to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
