Abdul Mohsen Al Saleh could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Shaheen Al Ali made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abdul Mohsen Al Saleh in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Shaheen Al Ali saved DUBAI Palm Jumeirah from getting behind. DUBAI Palm Jumeirah's Shaheen Al Ali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdul Mohsen Al Saleh in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th match minute, DUBAI Palm Jumeirah was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esmael Al Arbash to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, U21 United Arab Emirates's Yahya Al Bahar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Shaheen Al Ali narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Younis Abo Al Hasan got free with Shaheen Al Ali in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee ignored DUBAI Palm Jumeirah's protests and gave Ghanim Boland a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st match minute, DUBAI Palm Jumeirah was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ghanim Boland to maneuver through the defense. After 45 played minutes DUBAI Palm Jumeirah got a freekick which was hit by Ghanim Boland. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The DUBAI Palm Jumeirah fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Shaheen Al Ali should have stopped the shot. Shaheen Al Ali came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 United Arab Emirates's Mosaed Al Shemali. But to his dismay, Mosaed Al Shemali quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mosaed Al Shemali in the 90th minute of play forced DUBAI Palm Jumeirah's goalkeeper Shaheen Al Ali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Yaqoub Bo Resley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. U21 United Arab Emirates fully deserved thier win.
